In July 1987 TRITONUS Musikproduktion GmbH was founded in Stuttgart by Peter Laenger, Andreas Neubronner and Stephan Schellmann with the aim of offering classical music recording of the highest quality. For this, the uncompromising use of the most modern studio technology is necessary, carefully applied to achieve the right balance of sound; this includes selecting acoustically excellent recording locations. The flexible mobile recording equipment can be used anywhere in the world. In 1990 Markus Heiland has jonied the team. In 2021 (Stephan Schellmann) and 2025 (Peter Laenger) two of the founders retired,
